My passion for guiding birthers and family during the perinatal period is why I became a doula. Supporting BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ people to improve the outcomes that are plaguing our communities is why I will soon be a midwife. Throughout my time serving as a doula, it has become more and more evident that there are not enough medical care providers to combat a system being built without us.
